Our Homestead

We built our own little home on 22 acres of woods and ravines in 1998, clearing only enough trees to provide room for the house, a garden and a small barn.  Dairy goats, hens and honeybees graciously provide us with milk, eggs and honey.  We grow organic vegetables & fruits in our large garden.  Dogs, cats and a few reptiles complete our busy homestead.

The garden includes flowers and cats

Winter in the woods

More baby goats!

People of all ages love baby goats!

Merlin & Endokee are close friends.

Our bees produce delicious wildflower honey.  Here, we are installing two "packages" of bees into their new homes during the spring

Rhoad Island Red chicks, 2 days old.

You may see our beautiful free-range hens actively roaming the ravines as they search for bugs and seeds.

Our Elongated tortoise, Torti, enjoys her lunch of bananas and oranges.

The goat barn was built from recycled old barn siding.  It includes a milking parlor and quarters for "the girls",  April & Ryde, plus their kids.
